Thank You, It's Vintage

by - September 18, 2017

'Thank you, it's vintage' is one of my favorite phrases to say when I receive a complement on my clothing or accessories.  The only two phrases that beat it are; 'Thank you, it was my grandmom's' and 'Thank you, it was a gift from my husband'.  Vintage shopping is like finding hidden gems, one of a kind hidden gems, it's very rewarding.  This Spring straw bags became very trendy and are still going strong now that it's September, as you can see from this Pinterest page.  You can imagine how happy I was to pull out my vintage straw bag, I felt ahead of the trend!  I bought it a couple years ago at a small vintage shop in Old City Philadelphia, where there are bunch of fun shops.  I paired it with a simple but classy black and white outfit to keep the empathizes on my bag.  The skirt I'm wearing is my new favorite, it's a wrap skirt with sweet ruffles at the edges and shorts underneath for extra coverage.   I bought it here for $9, unfortunately it sold out, but I have found a couple almost identical skirts from some of my favorite shops and listed them at the end of the post.  Along with the rest of my outfit details and some of my favorite one of kind straw bags that can transition into fall.

Editor's note: I had a busy weekend and was unable to work on the blog much so I will be skipping Travel Tuesday tomorrow.  I was planning on writing about the island of Chios, Greece, which we visited as a part of the Greek Isles Cruise we went on in July.  Unfortunately with the lack of time to write the post it won't be up until next Tuesday, I want to do Chios justice.  It is an extraordinary place!  Don't worry there will be a a fun post up tomorrow, thank you for your understanding and have a great Monday!
