Affordable Spring Accessories

How was your weekend?  Did you enjoy some good weather?  This weekend was strange, weather wise, here in Pennsylvania.  Saturday was gorgeous and sunny, mild 70's temps but crazily turned for the worse at 5pm, into sideways rainstorms.  You know those rainstorms that you think the rain drops are size of a fist and flying sideways or really every which way.  K and I both had to work on Saturday but when he got home we decided to take Bella for a long doggie walk and then head to town to take some photos for Instagram and get some drinks and food at Slate Bleu.  We started driving and the rain got so bad we could not see in front of us.  Not good photo taking or driving weather.  So we headed home. We still ended up eating and drinking like champs, just not as planned.

On Sunday I got into a conversation about style with my neighbor, while I was on a doggie walk.  My neighbor was too sweet, complimenting me on my style and was curious (without being rude) if I was spending a lot to look good (her words not mine).  I told her that I often focus on accessories for fun and focus on strong basics to create a base that can be used over and over again.  This seemed to resonate with her and made me happy since that is one of the messages I wanted to relay (style-wise) when I decided to write this blog.  The jean shorts I am wearing are that pair that fit like a glove, true to size, without showing to much leg or bum, a strong style basic.  They are one of my favorite, recent purchases and every time I put them on I get "you look cute babe" from K.  I don't usually go for bright colors but when it comes to shoes I'm a risk taker and when I saw these at DSW on sale for $15 I knew they would be the perfect pop of Spring color.  Full outfit details below...
