Easy Holiday Entertaining

by - December 11, 2018

I am hosting Christmas Eve dinner this year and trying to get my menu together.  So far I have my appetizers and cocktail planned.  This year I'll be serving Cranberry Brie Bites and a simple Sparkling Wine Cocktail.  Both these recipes are so easy and take barely any time to make.  Perfect for focusing on my main courses.  My Sparkling Wine is from Winc, it's light, bubbly and mixes beautifully with contrasting flavors.  You can receive 4 bottles for $40 of wine from Winc with code: sharonflahive at checkout.  The recipes are below, enjoy!

Cranberry Brie Bites

Ingredients
1 Wheel of Brie
Whole Cranberry Sauce
Rosemary

Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.  Fill the fillo dough shells with a thumb sized chunk of brie.  Top the brie with an equal amount of cranberry sauce (I used a teaspoon to for this).  Place
the filled shells into the oven for 20 minutes.  After baking garnish with
small sprigs of rosemary.  How easy!?!

Sparkling Wine Cocktail

Ingredients
2 Bottle of Sparkling Wine (for 6 people)
6 Champagne Glasses
Frozen Raspberries (or cranberries)
Rosemary

Directions
Chill the Sparkling Wine until it's really cold.  Place a couple frozen raspberries or cranberries at the bottle of each glass.  Pour the Sparkling Wine in slowly and garnish with a long stem of rosemary.  The reason behind the extra chilled Sparkling Wine, is that the drinks need to
sit out for a couple minutes before drinking so that the flavors can all
blend together and become a cohesive cocktail.
