New Years Resolution

by - December 30, 2018

I'm back!!  Did everyone have a fun Christmas?  I had a great time hosting my family on Christmas Eve.  I cooked up some filet's, truffled mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, bacon wrapped asparagus and roasted rainbow carrots.  It was a lovely meal followed by a fun family Christmas present swap.  And just like that Christmas has come and gone.  And here we are, 2019 approaching in just a couple hours.  New Years is such a fun holiday full of love, joy, energy and purposefulness.  K and I don't go out or party hard, we have a little private party for ourselves.  We drink champagne, play music, dance and I make steak with french fries and Béarnaise sauce which we enjoy while watching the ball drop.  For us it's a magical night.

I'm not crazy about New Year's resolutions because they are often wild, unobtainable goals; eat more veggies, loose 10 pounds, drink a gallon of water a day... blah, blah, blah.  Instead I like to reflect on the past year, learning from my mistakes and taking the positive experiences and keeping them rolling.  2018 was a year of personal growth for me, it happened unexpectedly but I'm happy it did.  Now I want to make 2019 another year of strength, gratitude, learning, happiness and love.  I will continue to share my true self with you here and I will
stay forever thankful for you, my readers.
